Heroes of Might and Magic III is a seemingly simple game, but it has a surprising amount of depth. The Heroes series has been likened to a drug: It's addictive and seduces you into playing that one last turn that stretches on for hours. With each new iteration, the series grows bigger and better. In this third installment, we now have eight different town types to play, over 100 creatures to command, and over 50 spells to throw at our enemies. Indiana Jones

In 1947, Sophia Hapgood, an old friend of Indiana Jones, informs him that the Russians are excavating the ruins of Babylon, and asks him to find out what they are looking for. Indy finds out that they are looking for a machine used to communicate with the Babylonian god Marduk. He finds a tablet showing the locations of the machine's pieces. Indy then embarks on a mission to find the parts to the Infernal Machine.

When Indy finds all the pieces, he gives them to Simon Turner, Sophia's boss, who takes the parts to Babylon and reconstructs the machine, and reveals he intends to use it to destroy the Communists. When he places all the parts, a cage comes up from the opening of the portal. Simon pushes Sophia into the cage, and Indy goes after him. After killing him and replacing the machine parts, the machine opens a portal to Marduk's world. Sophia falls in, and Jones jumps in after her. On the other side of the portal, Indy defeats Marduk, and he and Sophia go through another portal back to Babylon.

Star Wars Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II (often abbreviated JK or DF2) is a first person shooter computer game released on October 9, 1997, by LucasArts based on the Star Wars franchise. It is both the first game in the Dark Forces series to include multiplayer capabilities over the Internet or a Local Area Network, and the first game to allow players to take control of a Jedi character using the Force and a lightsaber. Jedi Knight uses live-action cutscenes. Jedi Knight is the sequel to Star Wars: Dark Forces (1995) and was followed by Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast (2002). An expansion, Star Wars Jedi Knight: Mysteries of the Sith, was released on January 31, 1998. A novelization of the game was also published in three parts, Dark Forces: Soldier For The Empire, Dark Forces: Rebel Agent and Dark Forces: Jedi Knight.

Jedi Knight made use of a significantly more powerful game engine than its predecessor, providing fully 3D environments and objects. It was one of the first games to ship with support for hardware 3D acceleration, through Direct3D 5.0, although it can also be played in a software-rendered mode. The game includes support for 3D sound effects through DirectSound and A3D 1.0 and uses CD audio for music.

Serious Sam 2 is a science fiction first-person shooter video game released for the PC and Xbox and the sequel to the 2001 computer game Serious Sam. It was designed and developed by Croteam and was released on October 11, 2005. The game was published by 2K Games, a Take-Two Interactive subsidiary. While the game was originally released only for Windows and the Xbox, a Linux version of the game client and the game's content editor, Serious Editor 2, was later released and is in beta.

In the single-player campaign, the player assumes the role of hero Sam "Serious" Stone in his adventures against the forces of the extraterrestrial overlord, "Mental", who seeks to destroy humanity. Taking place after the events of Serious Sam: The Second Encounter, Sam travels through various different worlds collecting parts of a medallion in an effort to defeat Mental. He is guided by the Sirian Great Council and receives sporadic aid from the natives of the worlds he visits. The multiplayer mode includes online co-op and deathmatch, the latter having been introduced in a patch. A 4.5/5.0 was awarded to Serious Sam by Computer Gaming World, though overall the game received moderate praise from the media, earning an average of 75% on Game Rankings.

Warlords Battlecry

Warlords Battlecry was a real-time strategy computer game released in 1999. It was the first of new series of RTS games set in Steve Fawkner's successful, formerly turn-based, Warlords franchise.

The game introduced a hero building system which preceded Warcraft III's own one and combine real time strategy elements with roleplaying elements (hero development, stats and skills), thus making its creator labelling the series as "roleplaying strategy" games. There are also many different and unique races in the game. When making and customizing your hero, there are different modes of person your hero can be. There is normal mode, where if your hero wins or loses a battle, he will gain regular experience and you get to keep your hero whenever they are slain. But, then there is an iron man mode, where you gain double the experience when winning a battle, but there's a catch, if he/she is slain, they are gone forever. There are also different classes from which your hero can choose from, example, if you pick a wizard, he/she will have an array of different spells. If you pick a warrior, you may or may not get spells till you are a high level.
